Montreal's Emery street doesn't just have an all french cinema or Theatre St-Denis's exit.
There's also a band of working class boys hanging around
playing a mix of Punkrock , Countryrock and Alternative
with a tad of rap , just across the street.
Seb Schwartz (Vocals,Guitar,Synthesizer) , Bill Besnier (Bass) ,
the Ghostface drummer(Drums) formed Emery Street in 2008.
Seb Schwartz wrote, engineered and produced their first album: No Regrets,
No Apologies and Co-owns their record label Flesh Market Inc. Inspired
by life experiences , guaranteed not to leave you
indifferent.You can hear social distortion , sublime , rancid and
even tom waits lurking in the Montreal alleys.
After Years of recording songs in studio 5.1 with "2 time Felix Award winner" and friend ,
producer Pierre Bazinet , Seb Schwartz was unsatisfied with his current material and wanted to start a band to
concentrate on the live aspect of his music.in 2007 at the age of 24 He met Bill Besnier (Bassist) who jumped on the
"band wagon".In Need of a serious drummer Bill called up his childhood friend The GhostFace Drummer with
whom he already had a band named Alteris that had played over 50 shows
and also put 2 albums out.Since they had a lot of live experience together he was a natural choice.
Emery Street played as a trio under the alias Seb Shambles for nearly
a year.Keeping 4 songs out of a few dozen Seb had recorded before the formation of
the band .With 7 new ones they recorded together ,there was enough material for a full length Lp.
They Finally took the name Emery Street because of a studio Seb has
on La Rue Emery.
In Need of a second guitarist , through mutual friends working at a music store they met Charles Pepin(Guitarist) who
filled the void perfectly
Emery Street is ready to play in front of any crowd , rain or shine as much as possible and are
already in preproduction of their second album.

Bonjour,
Si tu joues au Québec tu connais certainement Emergenza, le concours live ouvert à tous les groupes de compositions originales qui depuis 10 ans sélectionne avec des concerts au Club Soda et à l'Olympia des groupes de Montréal qui participeront au Taubertal Open Air festival en Allemagne.
Pour venir voir une soirée gratuitement écris-moi je te mettrai sur Guest List.
